We arrived in Istanbul on Monday 15th February, very tired, emotionally drained and not quite sure what it was we had done or exactly how our future’s would pan out.
This is the evening of day two, Lisa is putting the kids to sleep and I am in the Armada hotel in the old part of Istanbul, the Sultanhamet downloading some photographs, some thoughts and a beer in the lobby.
We have spent the first two day’s of our journey in Istanbul in a particularly frazzled state of mind and body. We have no fixed abode and our living conditions have changed from a spacious open plan house close to the sea to a one bedroom hotel room where we are using all of the available space to live.
So here we are trying desperately to unwind in Istanbul and not succeeding, not yet, however we have another 364 days to work on it.
